How it works
Leaf Sheep doesn't sell hardware. When you click through to buy a plug-in solar kit, battery or accessory, you're buying from the manufacturer or retailer on their own site, under their own prices, warranty and returns terms. If that link came from here, the retailer pays me a percentage of the sale.
That's how this site is paid for. There's no charge to you, no markup, and no price difference between an affiliate link and typing the address in yourself.
What it doesn't change
- Which kit gets recommended. The commission rate on a product plays no part in whether it appears here or where it ranks in a comparison. Some of the kit I'd recommend most pays nothing at all.
- What I'll say about it. If something is poor value, badly made or not legal to plug in here, that's what the page will say — whether or not there's a commission attached.
- The numbers. Output figures, savings estimates and certification status are what I've found or measured, not what a manufacturer would like printed.
Free products
Manufacturers sometimes send equipment to be tested. Where that happens, it's stated clearly on the page or in the video. Being sent a unit buys a review, not a good one, and the kit is returned or disclosed either way.
Certification and safety information
Guidance on this site about UK regulations, the certified-product register and DNO notification is published in good faith and dated, but rules change. Always check the current position with your DNO and the manufacturer before you plug anything in.
